I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
