Brinkman assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's underwhelming early showing last autumn.

The player input from last fall’s the game playtest was enlightening. It confirmed the appeal of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It revealed the need for a sharper vision.
It has been motivating to see how far you’ve progressed. You accepted the input to heart and reimagined Project ETHOS with a revitalized direction - one that’s positioned to fulfill its ambition to our players.
The trust in this project grows every day. To boost the outstanding development you’ve made, I am thrilled to welcome the new hire as the incoming Lead of 31st Union. Following some time of conversations, he comes aboard us on Monday, October 20.
Ben’s leadership and experience in the PVP shooter space is considerable, having spent the last 15 years developing and leading some of the most well-known titles in gaming, for example the acclaimed shooter, and more recently, the battle royale hit.
